Obviously the most important advice you can be given is chose what is really important about your day and focus not only your time but a compatible portion of your budget to it.

Choosing a photographer for your wedding is one of the hardest parts of planning and organising your day. As what we do is not a fixed or pre made commodity, it relies completely on what you bring to your special occasion. Each wedding is different, each couple is different and the weather is the most unpredictable part of every wedding day. Who ever you chose to capture these memories for you can only ever record what you are prepared to give them. It is essential that you feel comfortable with this person, that you can relax be yourselves and enjoy your day for what you have designed it to be. Until you get there you have no idea how this day will make you feel having someone that understands your nerves and excitement will be a huge comfort on your day.
No doubt by now you will have read enough bridal magazines to know that you need to not only hire a professional (capturing that perfect moment or the things that other people don't see is not as easy as taking a good family portrait) but you need to see a whole wedding from start to finish and more than just a few great shots from a couple of weddings .But more importantly you must have a clear objective of what YOU want for your day. Poetic license is fantastic for the photographer it keeps us wonderfully inspired and creative on your day however, how you see your day and how a complete stranger see's it may not always happily meet in the middle.
A great photographer will be the one that communicates this to you and makes you feel like they just “get it”.
Most couples, if you watch them long enough have a certain way of communicating to each other, wether it be in the way they hold hands, know what the other person is thinking before they even say it or simply fall in to that sweet spot that only they share when they cuddle up together. These will be the beautiful images that hang timelessly on your walls, that you can look back on and see who you were and what you really mean to each other on your wedding day.
Sassi doesn't expect you to fit into a box with a one size fits all approach so we have a range of packages priced from $795 - $4500 with a variety of options, winter packages and the flexibility to create something that uniquely fits you. (including swapping out your proof book for your images on disk if this suits you better).
