Renewal of vows

You have decided to renew your wedding vows, Congratulations!

A renewal of vows ceremony encompasses all the fun, joy and magic of a wedding ceremony, without the formalities and costs associated with a wedding.

It’s a lovely way of celebrating a wedding anniversary or a time you now would like, with the experience of the past, to express your love for one another with the words you want to say.

Or it can help with the healing after a difficult time in a marriage.

There are a wide variety of reasons couples decide to ‘do it all over again’, and of course a wide variety of context that can be used.

The following is a brief extract from a Renewal of Vows Ceremony I performed for a couple whilst they were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

"... and ... today is your 25th wedding anniversary.

You have chosen tonight to reassure each other of your love for one another; how you value the deep loyalty and loving trust that has grown between you, elements of your relationship that have become the basis of your marriage.

Your main responsibility of bringing up your children ......... & ......... is now over and tonight when you renew and re-affirm your marriage vows to each other, you are already enjoying a wonderful new era of your life.

The re-affirmation of your ‘Vows’ is a promise that this era will be a time you both will concentrate on developing your love for each other, even further..."

Hi Carol.

Andy and I just want to say a massive thank you for making our day so magical. Everyone said what a beautifully moving ceremony it was. And the little book you made with it all in is so precious. I especially love the guests comment part and we had some beautiful entries. What an amazing job you have honey. You make so many people so happy. Big hugs from us both and I hope we meet again when my Granddaughter Indie gets married in the ( hopefully) not too distant future. Fondest regards.

Sheila and Andy. Xx
